The eye-blue sky
is showing off
all of its seventy-six
degrees
as the barely-there breeze
brushes fragments of autumn
off of the sidewalk.
Yellows and reds are only
momentary,
mindless illusions
of future,
and for the moment
they are serving
to flavor this Indian Summer
